The Maine Coon is 4 to 5 times larger than the Singapura, the smallest breed of cat.

A cat can jump even seven times as high as it is tall.

Cats walk on their toes.

Most cats have no eyelashes.

Cats have true fur consisting of two layers, both an undercoat and an outer coat.

Cats spend an average of 5 hours a day grooming themselves.

If your cat rubs up against you, your feline is marking you as territory with scent as "theirs".

If your cat gives you a head butt, it's a sign of a happy cat that is giving you affection.

Purring can mean more than just a happy cat. Cats can purr when in pain such as birthing kittens. Kittens purr to let their mom know that they're getting enough milk. Pay attention to your cat when she purrs and you be able to know the difference.

A cat is pregnant for about 58-67 days.

Kittens are born deaf and remain that way for around the first week.

Tobacco products can be fatal to cats if ingested, signs of tobacco poisoning can occur between 15 and 45 minutes after ingesting.

Average feline spends an average of 13 to 16 hours each day sleeping.

A cat can live twenty or more years if well treated but the average life span of a domestic cat is 14 years.

Neutering your cat can add an additional two to three years to its life span.

The cat's footpads enable it to walk quietly. They also act as shock absorbers for landing from jumps and other acrobatics.

Most cats have five toes on each front paw, but only four toes on each back paw. BUT some cats are born with extra toes and are called Polydactlys. The extra toes will not harm the cat and should be kept trimmed just as the other toes should be.
