About UsAt the Timberkatz Cattery, our number one goal is to raise fun loving, strong , healthy and well adjusted kittens. We are not a "kitten mill" or a "backyard breeder" and only have a few litters per year. Our kittens go to their new homes at the minimum age of 12 weeks old, 14 weeks if the kitten is being shipped domestically. And yes, we do ship but prefer to place our kittens locally.
Our cats are our pets first and foremost then cattery members second. This means they live with us inside our home, cared for and loved everyday. We teach our cats tricks such as fetch, stand up when we say up and even have one who loves to shake hands. Although we face challenges every day living with our extended family, the satisfaction we get from our cats more than makes up for anything that comes our way.
Our cats are shown a few times a year at cat shows but we always hope to increase our frequency of showing of our Maine Coons as time permits. Neli works in the Nursing field and I work in the Information Technology field. We both have full work schedules and tend to the cattery daily so having time to show is limited to what weekends we may have off. Timberkatz Cattery is registered with the following cattery registries: ACFA, CFA, CFF and TICA.
At Timberkatz, we stay in contact with our customers to track the progress of all of the kittens that have been born at the cattery. We encourage all of the new owners to send updated pictures to post on the web site. That way, our customers have a place on the internet to show the progress of how their kitten is growing up into a wonderful Maine Coon cat. And even after the kittens go to their new homes, Timberkatz is a resource for the new Maine Coon owners and are happy to any answer questions that they may have for the life of their newest family member. Lastly, the Timberkatz Cattery has one of the largest if not THE LARGEST photo collection of any individual cat or dog breeder on the planet. We offer pictures of all Maine Coons (past and present) totaling into the hundreds of pictures in our photo galleries. The photo galleries continue to grow as new pictures are added as clients send us updated pictures and as we take new pictures of our Maine Coons also.
